relative effect

— The ratio of outcome measures in one treatment comparison group compared to another in a study

Full explanation:

Relative effects are ratios of outcome measures between treatment comparison groups in a study.

Example:

For example, if death is the outcome and 10% (10 per 100) in one treatment group die and 6% (6 per 100) in a comparison group die, the risk ratio (a measure of the relative effect) is 6/10 = 0.60.
